Badge Not Visible
If a badge does not appear on your profile (or another user’s profile), the issue is usually related to school context, role changes, or visibility rules.
Badges in Hischool are context-aware, which means they may only appear in specific schools or situations.
Follow the steps below to identify the cause.
Step 1: Check the School Context
Section titled “Step 1: Check the School Context”Some badges are school-specific.
The badge may not appear if you are:
- Viewing the profile outside the school
- Viewing the profile from another school
- Not a member of that school
Open the profile from inside the correct school to verify the badge.

Step 2: Confirm Your Role Has Not Changed
Section titled “Step 2: Confirm Your Role Has Not Changed”Many badges are tied to roles such as:
- School Owner
- Administrator
- Moderator
- Verified Member
If your role was updated, reassigned, or removed, the badge may no longer appear.
Contact your school administrator to confirm your current role.
Step 3: Verify Membership Status
Section titled “Step 3: Verify Membership Status”Badges depend on active membership.
The badge may disappear if you:
- Were removed from the school
- Were temporarily suspended
- Were reassigned to a different role
Confirm your membership status with the school administrator.
Step 4: Refresh the Page and Clear Cache
Section titled “Step 4: Refresh the Page and Clear Cache”Badges may not update immediately due to browser caching.
Try the following:
- Refresh the page
- Log out and sign back in
- Clear your browser cache
- Open the profile in a private/incognito window
Step 5: Confirm Verification Status
Section titled “Step 5: Confirm Verification Status”If the badge is related to account verification:
- Verification may have expired
- Verification may have been revoked
- The account may not be fully verified

Step 6: Check Visibility and Policy Rules

- School policy
- Administrator configuration
- Privacy settings
- Role hierarchy
Some badges may only be visible within specific school contexts.

My Owner Badge Disappeared
Section titled “My Owner Badge Disappeared”Possible causes include:
- Ownership transferred to another user
- Role reassigned
- Membership changed
- School archived
Confirm with your administrator.
Others Can See the Badge but I Cannot
Section titled “Others Can See the Badge but I Cannot”Possible causes include:
- Browser cache issues
- Account mismatch
- Privacy settings
- Role visibility differences
When to Contact a School Administrator
Section titled “When to Contact a School Administrator”Contact your administrator if:
- Your role appears incorrect
- Your ownership badge is missing
- You believe your badge was removed by mistake
- You need clarification about badge eligibility
Administrators manage school-level roles and badge assignments.
When to Contact Platform Support
Section titled “When to Contact Platform Support”Contact support if:
- Badges disappear unexpectedly for multiple users
- Badge behavior appears inconsistent
- System errors occur when loading profiles
- Verification status appears incorrect
