Badge Not Visible

If a badge does not appear on your profile (or another user’s profile), the issue is usually related to school context, role changes, or visibility rules.

Badges in Hischool are context-aware, which means they may only appear in specific schools or situations.

Follow the steps below to identify the cause.


Some badges are school-specific.

The badge may not appear if you are:

  • Viewing the profile outside the school
  • Viewing the profile from another school
  • Not a member of that school

Open the profile from inside the correct school to verify the badge.

Many badges are tied to roles such as:

  • School Owner
  • Administrator
  • Moderator
  • Verified Member

If your role was updated, reassigned, or removed, the badge may no longer appear.

Contact your school administrator to confirm your current role.


Badges depend on active membership.

The badge may disappear if you:

  • Were removed from the school
  • Were temporarily suspended
  • Were reassigned to a different role

Confirm your membership status with the school administrator.


Badges may not update immediately due to browser caching.

Try the following:

  • Refresh the page
  • Log out and sign back in
  • Clear your browser cache
  • Open the profile in a private/incognito window

If the badge is related to account verification:

  • Verification may have expired
  • Verification may have been revoked
  • The account may not be fully verified

Badge visibility may depend on:

  • School policy
  • Administrator configuration
  • Privacy settings
  • Role hierarchy

Some badges may only be visible within specific school contexts.


I See the Badge in One School but Not Another

Badges often apply only to the school where the role exists.


Possible causes include:

  • Ownership transferred to another user
  • Role reassigned
  • Membership changed
  • School archived

Confirm with your administrator.

  • Browser cache issues
  • Account mismatch
  • Privacy settings
  • Role visibility differences

Contact your administrator if:

  • Your role appears incorrect
  • Your ownership badge is missing
  • You believe your badge was removed by mistake
  • You need clarification about badge eligibility

Administrators manage school-level roles and badge assignments.


Contact support if:

  • Badges disappear unexpectedly for multiple users
  • Badge behavior appears inconsistent
  • System errors occur when loading profiles
  • Verification status appears incorrect
