Leave a Group
If you no longer wish to participate in a group, you may be able to leave it.
⚠️ Group leaving rules depend on the group type.
Understanding Group Types

- Public Groups
- Private Groups
Leaving behavior is different for each.
Public Groups
Section titled “Public Groups”Public groups:

Because membership is automatic, you cannot leave a Public group separately.
If you do not wish to see a Public group, you would need to:
- Leave the school entirely, or
- Adjust notification settings (if available)
Public groups are designed for school-wide communication.
Private Groups
Section titled “Private Groups”Private groups are restricted.
Only explicitly added members (or role-authorized members) can access them.
Private groups support leaving — unless restricted by role.
