Send Emoji

Emoji help you express tone, emotion, and quick feedback in conversations.

You can use emoji in:

  • Direct messages
  • Group conversations
  • Saved Notes

Emoji make communication more expressive and engaging.


You can insert emoji directly while typing a message.

To add an emoji:

  1. Open a conversation.
  2. Click the message input field.
  3. Type ”:” (colon).
  4. Start typing the emoji name.
  5. Select an emoji from the suggestion list.

Example:

  • Typing :smile
  • Typing :thumb
  • Typing :fire

A list of matching emoji will appear.
Select one to insert it into your message.

You can combine text and emoji in the same message.

Example:

  • “Great job :tada:”
  • “I’ll review this later 👍”

After finishing your message, press Send.


Emoji can appear:

  • At the end of a message
  • Inside a sentence
  • As a standalone message

Examples:

  • “Great work! 🎉”
  • “Looks good 👍”
  • “😂”

You can also react to an existing message using emoji.

To react to a message:

  1. Hover over or open a message.
  2. Click the reaction emoji button.
  3. Choose an emoji.

The reaction will appear attached to the message.

Emoji reactions are useful for:

  • Quick feedback
  • Acknowledging messages
  • Expressing agreement or emotion

Although the visual style may differ, the meaning remains the same.


Emoji usage may be limited if:

  • The conversation is closed.

  • Use emoji to clarify tone.
  • Avoid excessive emoji in formal discussions.
  • Keep communication respectful.
  • Combine emoji with clear text when necessary.

  • Make sure you typed ”:” before the emoji name.
  • Continue typing to search for emoji.
