Discover Schools
The Discover → Schools section allows you to explore discoverable (open) schools in Hischool.
Only schools configured as discoverable appear in this section.
Private schools are not visible here.
How to Access Discover Schools
Section titled “How to Access Discover Schools”To browse open schools:
- Go to Home.
- Click Discover.
- Open the Schools section.
In this section, you will see:
- A Search input
- Popular tags
- A list of discoverable schools
Searching for Schools
Section titled “Searching for Schools”You can find schools by:
- Typing the school name in the search input
- Selecting from Popular Tags
- Clicking on related tags shown in search results
When you search:
- Matching schools will appear.
- Related tags may also appear.
- You can refine results by selecting tags.
Search results update dynamically based on your input.
Only discoverable schools appear in search results.
School Card Information
Section titled “School Card Information”Each school card typically displays:
- School banner or logo
- School name
- Short description
- Member count
- Verified badge (if applicable)
- Join button
Since these are open schools, you can join directly.
Joining a Discoverable School
Section titled “Joining a Discoverable School”To join:
- Click on a school card.
- Review the school details.
- Click Join.
You will immediately become a member.
No approval or invitation is required for discoverable schools.
Verified Schools
Section titled “Verified Schools”Some schools display a Verified badge.
This indicates:
- Identity confirmed by the platform
- Trusted organization or institution
Verification confirms authenticity but does not guarantee quality.
Why Some Schools Do Not Appear
Section titled “Why Some Schools Do Not Appear”A school may not appear in Discover if:
- It is private (invite-only).
- It is not configured as discoverable.
- It was archived or deleted.
- Your account has restrictions.
- The school limits visibility by domain or policy.

After Joining
Section titled “After Joining”Once you join a school:
- It will appear on your Home page.
- You can access its groups.
- You can participate in discussions and activities.

Safety & Reporting
Section titled “Safety & Reporting”If you discover a school that:
- Violates community guidelines
- Contains inappropriate content
- Appears suspicious
You can report it.
Tips for Finding the Right School
Section titled “Tips for Finding the Right School”- Use specific keywords.
- Explore Popular Tags.
- Check member count.
- Look for verified badges.
- Read the school description before joining.
- Make sure you are signed in with the correct account.
