Message Not Sending

If your message does not send, the issue is usually related to network connectivity, conversation access, or temporary technical problems.

Follow the steps below to identify and resolve the issue.

A weak or unstable internet connection may prevent messages from being sent.

Try the following:

  • Refresh the page
  • Check your Wi-Fi or mobile data
  • Switch to a different network
  • Wait a few seconds and try sending again

If your connection drops while sending, the message may fail.

Step 2: Confirm the Conversation Is Active

Section titled “Step 2: Confirm the Conversation Is Active”

Messages cannot be sent if the conversation is restricted.

For example:

  • The conversation may be closed to new messages
  • Only certain members may be allowed to send messages
  • The conversation may no longer be active

If posting is restricted, contact the group administrator.

See:
Conversation Settings

You may not be able to send messages if:

  • You were removed from the group
  • Your membership changed
  • Your role no longer allows messaging

If you believe this happened unexpectedly, contact the school administrator.

Step 4: Check File Attachments (If Applicable)

Section titled “Step 4: Check File Attachments (If Applicable)”

If your message includes a file attachment:

  • Make sure the file finished uploading
  • Try sending the message without the file
  • Check that the file size is reasonable

See:
File Upload Failed

If your message includes complex formatting or large content:

  • Try sending a short text message
  • Remove attachments temporarily
  • Send the message again

This helps determine whether the issue is content-related.

You may not be able to send messages if:

  • Your account is temporarily restricted
  • Your account access changed
  • Your email has not been verified

See:
Account & Access Issues

Technical problems may prevent message submission.

Try the following:

  • Refresh the page
  • Clear your browser cache
  • Try a different browser
  • Restart the app (if using mobile)

Possible causes:

  • Network interruption
  • Session expired
  • Browser issue

Refresh the page and try again.

This usually indicates:

  • Network interruption
  • Temporary server issue
  • File attachment problem

Check your connection and try sending again.

This may indicate:

  • Conversation restriction
  • Membership change
  • Account-specific issue

Contact your school administrator.

Contact the administrator if:

  • The conversation restricts posting
  • Your access to the group changed
  • You were removed from the conversation

Administrators manage group membership and messaging permissions.

Contact platform support if:

  • Messages consistently fail to send
  • Multiple users experience the same issue
  • Error messages appear repeatedly
  • The messaging system appears unstable

See:
Contact Support

Include:

  • Conversation name
  • Your account email
  • Screenshot of the error (if available)
  • Time the issue occurred
  • Your device and browser details
