Kick Members
Authorized members with the appropriate permissions can remove other members from a school.
“Kicking” a member means:
- The member is removed from the school.
- The member loses access to all school groups and content.
- The member is removed from the member list.
- The member may be able to join the school again later.
Kicking a member does not permanently block them from the school.

Who Can Kick Members?
Section titled “Who Can Kick Members?”Only roles with member management permissions can remove members.
These permissions are configured in the school’s role settings.
If you do not see the remove option, your role may not allow this action.

When to Kick a Member
Section titled “When to Kick a Member”A member may be removed if they:
- Disrupt discussions or collaboration
- Repeatedly ignore community rules
- Behave in a way that harms the learning environment
- No longer belong to the school
Kicking is typically used for temporary removal or moderation actions.
How to Kick a Member
Section titled “How to Kick a Member”To remove a member from the school:
- Open the School.
- Go to the Members section.
- Find the member you want to remove.
- Open the member options menu.
- Select Kick Member.
- Confirm the action.
The member will be removed immediately.
What Happens After a Member Is Kicked?
Section titled “What Happens After a Member Is Kicked?”After a member is kicked:
- They lose access to the school.
- They can no longer see school groups or messages.
- They are removed from the member list.
However, the user may still be able to join again depending on the school’s access settings.
If the school is:
Discoverable
- The user may rejoin the school again.
Invite-Only
- The user may join again if they receive a new invite link or code.
Kick vs Ban
Section titled “Kick vs Ban”- Removes the member from the school.
- The member may join again later.
- Used for temporary moderation or member cleanup.
- Permanently blocks the user from joining the school.
- Prevents the user from rejoining even with an invite.

Common Questions

They may rejoin if:
- The school is discoverable, or
- They receive a new invitation.
Are the member’s messages deleted?
Section titled “Are the member’s messages deleted?”No.
Messages usually remain unless they are removed through separate moderation actions.
Can administrators be kicked?
Section titled “Can administrators be kicked?”Yes, if the role permissions allow it.
However, the Owner cannot be removed by administrators.
