Outgoing Friend Requests
The Outgoing Requests section shows friend requests you have sent that are still awaiting a response.
From here, you can:
- Review pending requests
- Cancel a request
- Monitor request status
This helps you keep track of your connection attempts.
Viewing Outgoing Requests
Section titled “Viewing Outgoing Requests”To view requests you have sent:
- Go to Friends.
- Open the Outgoing Requests tab.
- Review the list of users you have invited to connect.
Each entry may display:
- User name
- Profile photo
- Date the request was sent (if available)
- Shared schools (if applicable)
Canceling a Friend Request
Section titled “Canceling a Friend Request”If you change your mind:
- Locate the request in the Outgoing Requests list.
- Click Cancel Request.
After canceling:
- The user will no longer see the request.
- The connection will not be created.
- You may be able to send a new request later (depending on system rules).
If the Request Is Accepted
Section titled “If the Request Is Accepted”If the recipient accepts your request:
- The connection is established.
- The user appears in your Friends list.
- You can message them directly.

If the Request Is Declined
Section titled “If the Request Is Declined”If the request is declined:
- The connection is not created.
- The request is removed from your Outgoing list.
- You may or may not be able to send another request (depending on system rules).
Declined requests do not necessarily generate a notification to the sender.
When a Request Disappears
Section titled “When a Request Disappears”An outgoing request may disappear if:
- The user accepts it.
- The user declines it.
- You cancel it.
- The user blocks you.
- The user deletes or deactivates their account.
Privacy and Restrictions
Section titled “Privacy and Restrictions”You may not be able to send or resend a request if:
- The user has restricted friend requests.
- The user has blocked you.
- System rules require shared school membership.

Best Practices

- Cancel outdated or unnecessary requests.
- Avoid repeatedly sending requests after rejection.
- Respect privacy boundaries.
Common Issues

Section titled “My request is still pending”The recipient must review and respond before the connection is created.
I cannot cancel a request
Section titled “I cannot cancel a request”- The request may have already been accepted or declined.
- The user may have blocked you.
I cannot send a new request
Section titled “I cannot send a new request”The user’s privacy settings or system rules may restrict new requests.
