Copy and Share Messages

In Hischool, you can copy the text of a message or copy a direct link to a message.

This helps you:

  • Reuse message content
  • Share important information
  • Reference specific messages
  • Quickly locate a message in long conversations

To access message options:

  1. Right-click on a message.
  2. A context menu will appear.

From this menu you can choose:

  • Copy Text

The Copy Text option copies the message content.

  1. Right-click the message.
  2. Select Copy Text.
  3. The message text is copied to your clipboard.

You can paste the copied text into:

  • Another conversation
  • Saved Notes
  • External documents
  • Emails or other applications

See:
Saved Notes

The Copy Link option copies a direct link to the message.

  1. Right-click the message.
  2. Select Copy Link.
  3. The message link will be copied to your clipboard.

You can share this link with other participants.

A message link can only be opened by users who:

  • Are members of the conversation
  • Have permission to view the message

If someone does not have access to the conversation, the link will not work for them.

This ensures that private conversations remain protected.

In active conversations with many messages, it may be difficult to find a specific message again.

In this case, you can:

  • Copy the message link
  • Save the link for later
  • Open the link to jump directly to that message

This is useful when referencing important information in long discussions.

  • Use Copy Text when you want to reuse message content.
  • Use Copy Link when you want to reference a specific message.
  • Avoid sharing sensitive content outside authorized conversations.
  • Save important message links if you may need them later.

Possible reasons:

  • The user is not part of the conversation.
  • The user does not have permission to view the message.

Copying a message may only include plain text depending on your system or application.
