Report a User

If a user violates community standards or behaves inappropriately, you can report them.

Reporting helps maintain a safe, respectful, and professional learning environment.

You should report a user if they:

  • Send abusive or harassing messages
  • Share inappropriate or harmful content
  • Impersonate someone
  • Engage in spam or scams
  • Violate school or platform rules

You can report a user from:

  • Their profile page
  • A conversation
  • A friend request
  • A group interaction (if supported)

Steps:

  1. Open the user’s profile or message options.
  2. Select Report User.
  3. Choose a reason.
  4. Provide additional details (if required).
  5. Submit the report.

You may optionally block the user at the same time.

See:
Block or Unblock a User

After submitting a report:

  • The report is reviewed by authorized administrators or moderators.
  • The reported user is not directly informed who submitted the report.
  • Relevant information (such as messages or activity logs) may be reviewed.

Administrative actions depend on the severity of the violation and applicable policies.

Actions may include:

  • Warning the user
  • Restricting account features
  • Temporary suspension
  • Permanent account removal

Reports are handled confidentially.

  • Your identity may be protected.
  • The reported user is not informed who submitted the report.
  • Only authorized administrators may review report details.

If the behavior is not severe but unwanted:

  • You may block the user instead.
  • Blocking prevents further interaction.

See:
Block or Unblock a User

Depending on context, reports may be handled by:

  • School administrators (for school-specific issues)
  • Platform moderators (for system-wide violations)

Certain violations may follow school policies in addition to platform rules.

If you feel unsafe within a school environment, contact your school administrator directly.

Submitting false reports may violate platform rules.

Reports should only be submitted for genuine concerns.

Misuse of reporting tools may result in account restrictions.

If you believe someone is in immediate danger:

  • Contact local authorities immediately.
  • Do not rely solely on platform reporting tools.

Hischool reporting tools are not a substitute for emergency services.

  • Report serious violations promptly.
  • Provide clear and accurate details.
  • Avoid engaging further with abusive users.
  • Use blocking tools when needed.
