Change Member Identity
Hischool allows members to use a different display name and profile image within a specific school.
This makes it possible for users to maintain a global identity across the platform while using a school-specific identity inside individual schools.
School identity changes only apply inside the selected school and do not affect the user’s global profile.
Global Identity vs School Identity
Section titled “Global Identity vs School Identity”Every user in Hischool has a global identity, which includes:
- Global display name
- Global profile image
Schools may allow members to define a school-specific identity.
A school identity includes:
- School display name
- School profile image
These changes are visible only inside that school.
Other schools and the global profile remain unchanged.
Permission-Based Identity Management
Section titled “Permission-Based Identity Management”School identity changes are controlled through roles and permissions.
Permissions can define whether a member can:
- Change their own school display name
- Change their own school profile image
- Change other members’ identities (administrative action)
If a member does not have permission to change their identity, they will not be able to modify their school name or image.
