Find Messages in a Conversation

You can search messages inside a conversation to quickly locate specific discussions or information.

Searching is useful when:

  • Conversations contain many messages
  • You need to find a specific keyword
  • You want to revisit a previous discussion

Message search is available in the Info panel located on the right side of the conversation.

To search messages:

  1. Open a conversation.
  2. Open the Info panel on the right side.
  3. Select Search Messages.
  4. Enter a keyword in the search field.

The Info panel will switch to the Search Messages panel.

The Search Messages panel contains:

  • A search field at the top
  • A list of matching messages below the search field

When you type a keyword, the system searches messages within the current conversation.

Search results update based on the keyword you enter.

Search results can be sorted in three ways:

  • Latest – newest matching messages first
  • Oldest – oldest matching messages first
  • Relevance – messages most closely matching the keyword

Sorting helps you quickly locate the most useful result.

Each search result represents a message in the conversation.

When you click a result:

  • The main message view will jump to that message.
  • The message will appear highlighted or selected in the conversation.

This allows you to immediately see the message in its original context.

Search results include:

  • Only messages from the current conversation
  • Only messages visible to you

Search does not include:

  • Messages from other conversations
  • Conversations you are not part of

  • Use specific keywords.
  • Search using unique words from the message.
  • Try different keywords if results are limited.

Possible reasons:

  • The keyword may not match the message.
  • The message may be in another conversation.
  • The message may have been deleted.

  • Check the spelling of your keyword.
  • Try using a shorter or more general keyword.
