Find
The Find section is a powerful search tool available to all signed-in users.
It allows you to quickly locate and navigate across content that is connected to you within Hischool.
What You Can Search
Section titled “What You Can Search”Using Find, you can search for:
- Schools you have created or joined
- Groups inside your schools
- Friends and connections
- Direct messages and conversations
Find is designed to help you access relevant information instantly without manually browsing through multiple sections.
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”- Open the Find section from the main navigation.
- Enter a keyword in the search field.
- Results will appear dynamically as you type.
Search results are limited to content that:
- You have permission to access
- Is directly related to your account
Search Results
Section titled “Search Results”Search results may include:
- Schools
- Groups
- Users
- Conversations
Each result item is clickable.
Clicking a result will:
- Open the selected school or group
- Navigate to a conversation
- Open a user profile
Quick Actions from Results
Section titled “Quick Actions from Results”Depending on the result type, you may be able to:
- Open a school
- Join a group (if allowed)
- Start a direct message
- View a user profile
These actions help you move quickly without navigating through multiple menus.
Permissions & Visibility
Section titled “Permissions & Visibility”Find respects all system permissions.
You will only see:
- Schools you are a member of
- Groups inside your schools
- Users connected to you
- Conversations you participate in
If something does not appear in search, it may be due to access restrictions.
Best Practices
Section titled “Best Practices”- Use specific keywords for more accurate results.
- Search by full or partial names.
- Use Find when you are part of multiple schools.
- Combine search with filters inside other sections when needed.
