Technical & Performance Issues

If Hischool loads slowly, freezes, or behaves unexpectedly, the issue may be related to your network connection, browser configuration, device performance, or temporary system conditions.

Follow the steps below to diagnose and resolve common performance problems.

Before investigating further, try the following:

  • Refresh the page
  • Check your internet connection
  • Close unused browser tabs
  • Restart your browser
  • Sign out and sign back in
  • Restart your device

Many performance issues are temporary and can be resolved by refreshing the session.

Slow page loading may be caused by:

  • Weak or unstable internet connection
  • High network latency
  • Large conversation history
  • Multiple active sessions
  • Browser extensions interfering with scripts

See:
Slow Loading

If the interface becomes unresponsive or slow:

  • Close unnecessary browser tabs
  • Disable heavy browser extensions
  • Restart your browser
  • Check device memory usage

See:
App Freezing or Lagging

If messages appear delayed or out of sync:

  • Check network stability
  • Confirm the conversation is not restricted
  • Verify server connectivity

See:
Message Delays

File transfers may slow down due to:

  • Large file sizes
  • Network instability
  • Limited bandwidth

See:
File Upload Failed

Hischool performs best on modern browsers.

Recommended browsers:

  • Latest version of Chrome
  • Latest version of Edge
  • Latest version of Safari
  • Latest version of Firefox

Using outdated browsers may cause unexpected behavior or reduced performance.

If the issue affects multiple users:

  • Ask others in your school if they experience the same problem
  • Refresh the page and try again
  • Wait a few minutes before retrying

Temporary server-side conditions may resolve automatically.

Performance may degrade if:

  • You are using a public Wi-Fi network
  • A VPN is enabled
  • Corporate firewalls restrict traffic
  • Your network bandwidth is limited

Try switching networks or temporarily disabling VPN if possible.

Older or low-memory devices may experience:

  • Slow rendering
  • Delayed interactions
  • High CPU usage
  • Browser crashes

Try:

  • Closing background applications
  • Restarting your device
  • Updating your browser

Contact your school administrator if:

  • The issue appears limited to a specific school
  • Features behave differently inside that school
  • School configuration may be affecting performance

Contact support if:

  • The platform remains consistently slow
  • Multiple users report the same issue
  • Pages fail to load completely
  • Repeated technical errors appear
  • You suspect a platform outage

See:
Contact Support

Provide:

  • Your account email
  • School name (if applicable)
  • Screenshot of the issue
  • Browser and version
  • Device type
  • Network type (Wi-Fi, mobile, VPN)
  • The time the issue occurred
