Messaging Issues
If you are experiencing problems with messages or conversations, this section will help you identify and resolve common issues.
Messaging problems may include:
- Messages not sending
- Conversations not visible
- Notifications not working
- File uploads failing
Quick Checklist
Section titled “Quick Checklist”Before reviewing detailed guides, try the following:
- Refresh the page
- Check your internet connection
- Confirm you are signed in
- Make sure you are using the correct account
- Confirm you are inside the correct school
Many messaging issues are caused by temporary connection or account context problems.
Common Messaging Issues

Section titled “Message Not Sending”A message may fail to send due to:
- Network connection problems
- Temporary system issues
- Conversation restrictions
- File attachment problems

Cannot See a Conversation
Section titled “Cannot See a Conversation”You may not see a conversation if:
- You are not a participant in the conversation
- You were removed from the group
- You are using a different account
- The conversation is no longer active

Notifications Not Working

- Notification settings may be disabled
- The conversation may be muted
- Device settings may block notifications

File Upload Failed

- Unsupported file types
- Network interruptions

Conversation Access
Section titled “Conversation Access”Some conversations may be restricted depending on your membership.
For example:
- You may not have access to a group conversation
- A conversation may be closed to new messages
- Your membership in a group may have changed
If you believe access changed unexpectedly, contact the school administrator.
Check Your School Context
Section titled “Check Your School Context”Messaging in Hischool is connected to schools and groups.
Make sure:
- You are inside the correct school
- The conversation belongs to the selected school
- You are using the correct account
Switching context may cause conversations to appear missing.
When to Contact a School Administrator
Section titled “When to Contact a School Administrator”Contact the school administrator if:
- You cannot send messages in a group
- You were removed from a conversation
- Your messaging access changed unexpectedly
Administrators manage group membership and messaging permissions.
When to Contact Platform Support
Section titled “When to Contact Platform Support”Contact support if:
- Messages consistently fail to send
- Multiple users experience the same issue
- Conversations disappear unexpectedly
- File uploads fail repeatedly
- You encounter technical errors
