Invite Members
Inviting members allows you to control who joins your school.
When you create an invitation, the system automatically generates:
- An invite link
- An invite code
Both can be shared with users who should join your school.
Invitations help you onboard members in a structured way.
Who Can Create Invitations?
Section titled “Who Can Create Invitations?”Only roles with invitation permissions can create invitations.
Users with permission can:
- Generate new invitations
- Share invite links or codes
- Revoke invitations
If you do not see the invitation option, your role may not allow it.

How to Create an Invitation
Section titled “How to Create an Invitation”To create a new invitation:
- Open your school.
- In the school sidebar, click the … menu.
- Select Create Invitation.
- The system will automatically generate:
- an invite link
- an invite code
You can copy and share either of them.
Sharing Invitations
Section titled “Sharing Invitations”The generated invite link or invite code can be shared in multiple ways:
- Sending it through direct messages
- Posting it in a school group
- Sharing it through email
- Sharing it through other communication channels
Anyone who has the invite link or invite code can join the school (depending on school access rules).
Discoverable vs Invite-Only Schools
Section titled “Discoverable vs Invite-Only Schools”Discoverable School
Section titled “Discoverable School”- Users may find and join the school directly.
- Invitations can still be used for direct onboarding.
- New members receive the default role automatically.
Invite-Only School
Section titled “Invite-Only School”- Users cannot join without an invitation.
- An invite link or invite code is required to join.
- Only authorized roles can generate invitations.
Invitations control who can access the school.
Role Assignment on Join
Section titled “Role Assignment on Join”When a user joins using an invitation:
- They receive the default member role.
- Additional roles can be assigned later by administrators.

Revoking an Invitation
Section titled “Revoking an Invitation”Administrators can revoke invitations if necessary.
Revoking an invitation will:
- Disable the invite link
- Invalidate the invite code
- Prevent new users from joining with that invitation
Revoking an invitation does not remove existing members.
Best Practices
Section titled “Best Practices”To keep your school secure:
- Avoid posting invitation links publicly for private schools
- Revoke invitations if they are shared unintentionally
- Monitor new member activity
- Create new invitations when needed
Common Questions
Section titled “Common Questions”Can Anyone Join With an Invite Link?
Section titled “Can Anyone Join With an Invite Link?”Yes. Anyone with the invite link or invite code can join, unless the invitation is revoked.
Can I Create Multiple Invitations?
Section titled “Can I Create Multiple Invitations?”Yes. You may create multiple invitations if you want to distribute access through different channels.
What Happens If an Invite Is Revoked?
Section titled “What Happens If an Invite Is Revoked?”Users will no longer be able to join using that invite link or code.
Existing members remain in the school.
