Invite Members

Inviting members allows you to control who joins your school.

When you create an invitation, the system automatically generates:

  • An invite link
  • An invite code

Both can be shared with users who should join your school.

Invitations help you onboard members in a structured way.

Only roles with invitation permissions can create invitations.

Users with permission can:

  • Generate new invitations
  • Share invite links or codes
  • Revoke invitations

If you do not see the invitation option, your role may not allow it.

See:
Roles & Permissions

To create a new invitation:

  1. Open your school.
  2. In the school sidebar, click the menu.
  3. Select Create Invitation.
  4. The system will automatically generate:
    • an invite link
    • an invite code

You can copy and share either of them.

The generated invite link or invite code can be shared in multiple ways:

  • Sending it through direct messages
  • Posting it in a school group
  • Sharing it through email
  • Sharing it through other communication channels

Anyone who has the invite link or invite code can join the school (depending on school access rules).

  • Users may find and join the school directly.
  • Invitations can still be used for direct onboarding.
  • New members receive the default role automatically.
  • Users cannot join without an invitation.
  • An invite link or invite code is required to join.
  • Only authorized roles can generate invitations.

Invitations control who can access the school.

When a user joins using an invitation:

  • They receive the default member role.
  • Additional roles can be assigned later by administrators.

See:
Roles & Permissions

Administrators can revoke invitations if necessary.

Revoking an invitation will:

  • Disable the invite link
  • Invalidate the invite code
  • Prevent new users from joining with that invitation

Revoking an invitation does not remove existing members.

To keep your school secure:

  • Avoid posting invitation links publicly for private schools
  • Revoke invitations if they are shared unintentionally
  • Monitor new member activity
  • Create new invitations when needed

Yes. Anyone with the invite link or invite code can join, unless the invitation is revoked.

Yes. You may create multiple invitations if you want to distribute access through different channels.

Users will no longer be able to join using that invite link or code.

Existing members remain in the school.
