Create a School
Creating a school allows you to build a structured community with:
- Members
- Roles
- Groups
- Permissions
- Governance rules
When you create a school, you automatically become the Owner of that school.
The Owner has full administrative control.
Who Can Create a School?
Section titled “Who Can Create a School?”Any registered user can create a school unless restricted by platform policy.
Each school includes:
- One Owner
- Optional Administrators
- Members with assigned roles
Ownership can be transferred later if needed.
How to Create a School
Section titled “How to Create a School”You can create a school from two places in the interface.
Option 1 — Navigation Bar
Section titled “Option 1 — Navigation Bar”- Click + Create or Join in the navigation bar.
- Select Create School.
Option 2 — Home Page
Section titled “Option 2 — Home Page”- Go to the Home page.
- Click + Create or Join in the top-right corner.
- Select Create School.
Create School Window
Section titled “Create School Window”When the Create School window appears:
- Enter the School Name.
- Click Create.
The school will be created immediately.
All other configurations can be completed after the school is created.
Default School Visibility
Section titled “Default School Visibility”New schools are always created as Invite-Only by default.
This means:
- Users cannot join the school automatically.
- Only invited users can access the school.
If you want your school to be Discoverable, you can enable it later in the school settings.

What to Configure After Creation
Section titled “What to Configure After Creation”After creating your school, it is recommended to configure:
- School appearance (logo, banner, description)
- Roles and permissions
- Group structure
- Invitation settings
- School policies

Ownership Responsibilities

- Governance structure
- Moderation standards
- Role configuration
- Access control
- Compliance with platform policies
Only the Owner can:
- Transfer ownership
- Delete the school
